Book Review of DigeroticArt by Ricky Swanson
As an amateur photographer and aspiring graphics student, I have two things to say about DigeroticArt. One, I really like this book and two, Tiger Lee is really, really good at what he does. Seems to me he has learned to create the kind of images we all wish we could.
This is truly enjoyable and unique book. In it Tiger Lee shares his journey from non-photographer to digital photo and manipulation guru. Not so much by telling but more through showing. The narrative is short, down to earth and revealing; like the artist. Each photo style is beautifully illustrated in an interesting before and after style. Normally artists don’t want anyone to see anything but their finished piece. So this is a rare opportunity to see the makings of some truly unique and wonderful pieces.
The one page history through the meteoric development of the digital camera by a working artist is worth the cover price to me. The beautiful women and the fantastically creative scenes are a great bonus and may even be the highpoint for others.
